The Use of Windotex in Membrane Switch/Panel Window

In the membrane switch industry, we often need to cut some windows of different sizes, shapes and transparency on the panel material of the membrane switch for LCD or LED display. When screen printing these windows, there are many aspects that need to be paid attention to in material selection and usage. Today JRPanel will comprehensively and systematically explain its function, performance and precautions for use with Windotex, a product of AutoType.

When using Autotex PET material, we can screen print a variety of different color effects on the printing surface of the sheet. At the same time, we can also screen-print windows with different finishes on the surface of the sheet according to the different requirements of users for LCD, LED or other different purposes.

Windotex is specially designed for Autotex PET to produce different effects of display windows, which can fully meet the requirements of users. Below we will introduce the precautions during the use of Windotex.

Autotex PET material

1. Windotex is a liquid that is specially designed for AutoType industrial product PET and can produce different display effects on its surface. It is screen-printed onto the panel material, and then dried in a UV oven. The resulting window is wear-resistant, scratch-resistant and chemical-resistant.

2. There are two products of Windotex:

Windotex Gloss - Gloss is greater than 80%;

Windotex Antiglare - Gloss is between 50%-75%.

At the same time, according to the different effects required, Windotex Gloss and Windotex Antiglare can be mixed in different proportions to achieve different effects between the two. The precise gloss depends on the conditions during the screen printing and drying process.

3. Printing Notes

The AutoType sand surface material Autotex must be printed with window liquid within 48 hours after being taken out of the package. If there are multiple color inks to be printed, Windotex printing is best done as the first or second process.

--Engineers of JRPanel concluded based on years of production experience: After Autotex was taken out of the package and exposed to the air for more than 48 hours, its absorption rate of Windotex began to decrease. Therefore, we must re-wrap the unused panel materials in piles to extend the absorption rate of Windotex as much as possible.

--The printing workshop should avoid direct sunlight.

--The printing workshop should be kept clean and dust-free.

--Before printing, we use an antistatic cloth to wipe the surface of the materials to ensure that the cleanliness.

--Printing thickness:15-20 μm.

--Do not pour unused window liquid back into the original tank.

--Windotex should be thoroughly stirred for more than 2 minutes before use.

4. Precautions for Solidification

--In order to prevent dust pollution, the window liquid should be solidified immediately after printing.

--When in the UV furnace, the printed window should not be placed on an uneven or hot surface, it is best to place it on a metal plate.

--Light source energy: 120W/cm

5. Once Windotex is printed on the panel according to normal operation and properly solidified, the final product will have a long service life.
