In last episode The Use of Windotex in Membrane Switch/Panel Window, we have introduced the use of Windotex, which can improve the display window glossy effect of a membrane switch/ panel. However, in the actual design and production of membrane switches, in addition to coating Windotex on matte materials, we may also print matte oil on glossy materials. In this case, we usually use another product of AutoType- Fototex. Today, JRPanel’ s engineers will share with you the function, performance and precautions of this product.

Fototex is a kind of coating specially designed for glossy PET and can be screen printed with high-quality matte effect on its surface, commonly known as matte oil. The matte surface produced after screen printing and drying has abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, chemical resistance and strong adhesion.

Printing Notes

--After taking out the glossy PET material, we must print Fototex within 48 hours. Therefore, like Windotex, when there are multiple colors of inks that need to be screen printed, we'd better print Fototex onto the material as the first step.

--The printing place should avoid direct sunlight. The UV light source should be placed separately from the printed material.

--The printing workshop should be kept clean and dust-free. Any pollution will lead to imperfect matte effect.

--Fototex should be thoroughly stirred before use.

--Printing thickness: 30-40 μm.

Precautions for Solidification

--To avoid dust pollution, Fototex should be solidified immediately after printing.

--In the UV furnace, do not place the printed matte side on an uneven or high-temperature surface.

--Light source energy: 80-120W/cm
