We judge based on material properties. Here is an acrylic sheet. We can check the color or the gloss. If anything is wrong, the acrylic sheet is not good.

2. Burning test

Burn a small piece of acrylic. We identify the quality through the smell. The burning speed also shows something. If the acrylic sheet burns quickly, it's bad.

3. Light transmission

You can use white light to pass through the acrylic sheet. If the color is yellow or blue, it is not good. Will an acrylic sheet with 92% light transmittance absorb the light color? No. The light will only penetrate, and not absorb light color.

4. Hot melt method

It is used to produce acrylic sheets with varying adhesion. It is also possible to distinguish between different qualities. For example, after hot melting, bad acrylic will stick together, and be difficult to separate, while high-quality acrylic sheets will separate easily.

5. Smell

When we check if the acrylic sheet is good, burn it, and there is smoke. Any smoke from incomplete burning will produce toxic gases. Gently stir up the air by hand. If there is a fragrant smell, it is good acrylic sheet. If you smell a pungent and disgusting odor, it may be a low-quality acrylic sheet.

Acrylic sheets are more easily soluble in organic solvents than new materials, causing silver cracks to often appear on the engraving paint. You can buy polished paint at a general chemical store.

For some minor scratches or very small damage to the surface of the plexiglass, generally use sandpaper to wet grind, and then use toothpaste to grind after the sandpaper fineness gradually increases. There may be some dust during electrostatic treatment. Wash it with suede or a soft cloth dyed with soapy water to achieve a clean effect before printing or filling with paint.

2. The size and weight should be appropriate.

For production processing of acrylic sheets, the thickness will increase with the thickness of the organic glass, occupying more space. However, the manufacturer only has a unified template size on the writing list, not a specific size of thickness. The size and weight of the acrylic sheet must be within the allowable error range.
