Taking washing machine as an example, the starting power for AC motors is generally CBB60 capacitor, which is a polypropylene film capacitor, motor running capacitor, it has a wide range of capacity and voltage, small size, rated working life, excellent self-healing performance, The electric capacity is stable, suitable for motors, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, electric fans, ovens, etc.

 

Take cbb60 12uf 450v as an example, in the case of a multimeter:

 

1) Remove the capacitor first, touch the leads to discharge the capacitor.

 

2) Adjust to the x100 gear, first connect the multimeter test leads to the two leads of the capacitor, and then exchange the two leads of the capacitor, and then connect the multimeter test leads to the two leads of the capacitor after the exchange.

 

3) Pay attention to the reaction of the pointer of the multimeter when the test lead of the multimeter touches the lead wire of the capacitor: The normal phenomenon is that the pointer of the multimeter swings through a certain angle at the moment of contact and then returns to infinity. And if this is not the case, the following situation occurs: If the resistance value is zero, the capacitor breaks down. If the infinity cannot be restored, the capacitor will leak. If the pointer of the multimeter does not respond, the capacitor is broken.

 

In the absence of a multimeter: remove the CBB capacitor, connect the power to both ends of the capacitor, wait for 30 to 60 seconds, and then short-circuit both ends of the CBB capacitor. If there is a discharge phenomenon, the capacitor is good. If there is no such phenomenon, the CBB capacitor is broken.
