The thermogravimetric analyzer is an instrument that uses the thermogravimetric method to detect the temperature-mass change relationship of a substance. Thermogravimetry is to measure the relationship between the mass of a substance and the temperature (or time) under program temperature control.
The thermogravimetric analyzer is mainly composed of several parts such as balance, furnace, program temperature control system and recording system.
Thermogravimetric analysis can study the changes of crystal properties, such as the physical phenomena of substances such as melting, evaporation, sublimation and adsorption; study the thermal stability of substances, decomposition processes, dehydration, dissociation, oxidation, reduction, quantitative analysis of ingredients, additives chemical phenomena such as the influence of fillers, moisture and volatiles, and reaction kinetics.
It is widely used in research and development, process optimization and quality monitoring in various fields such as plastics, rubber, coatings, medicines, catalysts, inorganic materials, metal materials and composite materials.
