The trace moisture tester features high accuracy, good repeatability, fast testing speed, and low drift. It is widely used for precise and rapid detection of trace moisture in SF? switchgear gas at substations, as well as in hydrogen at hydrogen production stations and hydrogen?cooled generator units. It is also applicable for trace moisture measurement of specialty gases in metallurgical, chemical fiber, petrochemical, and other industries.
Core Applicable Objects:
Gas types: Air, nitrogen, hydrogen, SF? (sulfur hexafluoride), argon, and other inert gases, as well as industrial gases free from strongly corrosive media. Direct measurement of acidic, alkaline, or highly corrosive gases is strictly prohibited (special pre?treatment or dedicated models are required).
Sample forms: Primarily gaseous samples; some instruments based on the Karl Fischer coulometric method can also determine trace moisture in liquids (e.g., oils, solvents) and solids (e.g., plastic pellets, pharmaceutical powders).
Typical scenarios: Insulation assessment of electrical equipment, monitoring of drying degree in gas pipelines, purity control of protective gases in semiconductor manufacturing, and moisture content analysis of chemical raw materials, among others.
Major Industry Applications:
Power systems: Humidity detection of insulating gases in SF? circuit breakers, GIS (gas?insulated switchgear), transformers, and other equipment; hydrogen humidity monitoring in hydrogen?cooled generator units (a mandatory test item).
Petrochemical industry: Moisture monitoring in natural gas transmission, olefin/hydrogen pipelines, chemical raw materials and finished products, for corrosion prevention and quality control.
Electronics and semiconductor industry: Continuous monitoring of the dryness of high?purity inert gases (N?, Ar, etc.) to ensure stable conditions for wafer fabrication.
Other industrial sectors: Verification of compressed air drying effectiveness, control of plastic drying processes, and special?gas testing in metallurgy and chemical fiber production.
Scientific research and quality inspection: Environmental monitoring, commercial inspection and arbitration, and trace moisture experimental analysis in universities and research institutes.
